Introduction: I'm not Thomas but I am engineering

Hello friends, foes, cohorts, and the general internet!

As the title states, unfortunately I am not Thomas the tank engine, but I am Vivian Yu the possible physics major at Wellesley College. This is my first year at Wellesley and I am taking physics, spanish, figure drawing, and engineering. I consider myself to be an artist, specifically a painter, which at first glance is slightly odd considering my STEM heavy classes but the worlds of art and science art really not that far apart and overlap considerably. I'm an explorer which means to me that I sometimes purposely get lost and read scrap papers from printers for fun but also that I love creation and engineering really encompasses that. My personal goals for taking engineering is to practice creativity, learn how to machine things, and to learn how make things that can solve problems.

Fun Facts about Vivian: I love eating weird foods, so far I've eaten: Japanese fermented soybeans (natto), sour cream and onion crickets, chocolate covered maggots, soup with squirrel in it (don't ask where I got that)

Below is a painting I made of a fish in space called: Celestial Waltz
